PLUMAGE

This image/quote of Elton John I tore out of a supplement a while ago reminded me of my favourite advert which never fails to get me excited about the most fun weekend of the year. Elton's stage time is akin to the pigeon's macawnival (sorry).

When else is it acceptable to spend two solid days rum-punch drunk dancing in the streets?
Elton's sentiment is, I'm sure, how most revellers feel on the tuesday morning.

PINK FLUFF

I know it's wrong but I like to think it falls into the so wrong it's right category *. I think the draw to a fluffy pink Tesco pencil case might be something to do with not having had Hello Kitty/Sanrio phase during my formative years.

SUMMER SHADES

New shades! I wanted a new pair for summer which were subtler than my current collection but it turns out subtle wasn't to be.

SUNGLASSES

There is something to be said for huge sunglasses, whether you're using them to shield hungover eyes and avoid paps or, like me, you have a deceptively large head and wear them out of necessity.

John Currin's wife (above 'Rachel in Fur', 2002) is a great poster girl for oversized shades.
