I have a love/hate relationship with Halloween and the idea of dressing up (doesn't everyone), but these Nun+* images have been accumulating on my desktop...

I hadn't realised quite how pervasive the fetishisation of nuns was until I started looking for them, tip of the iceberg:

THIS look from Wang's debut collection for Balenciaga. Sophisticated art student/technician/studio assistant. I can't help the dull practicalities that spring to mind - whether the paint would flake off, how it could be washed. Such a dry cleaner's nightmare.

YET MORE HANDS

I saw this old Jil Sander campaign the other day and it led me onto a whole new hands post. It is not a weird fetish thing they're just really great.

I especially like how clean Mr Hold Fast's nails are, I wasn't expecting that.

FURST BASE

This is a great example of tabloids doing what they do best - poor Yang Guang and Tian Tian. I love the style of this page as much as the content - for me red black and white in print  is usually a surefire winner.

The Edinburgh zookeepers need to take note and  play them some Marvin Gaye.

Quite confused as to why anybody would ever think this was a good idea. Apparently a man called Gus Waldorf did in 1949. No prizes for guessing who won...

CAMERAS, GOOGLE

Recently I discovered the google search image with image feature  (If you go to google images you can drag an actual image into the search box and it can usually identify it and provide an selection of 'visually similar' images). I can't understand how you'd even begin to teach a computer to do that.

But returning to my purposes... from the impressive hairline stuck on my wall and it came up with the original Hedi Slimane shoot and these, clever huh?
