NECKLACE

It's imperative now that I actually start buying these necklaces instead of just taking photos and getting pissed off when they're sold out two days later.

Loved this number from Dorothy Perkins, I thought it had something of Jasmine about it.

ARTIST TEGEN WILLIAMS

I would quite love this first one on the wall of my kitchen when I have my own sweet pad.
Or lots of variations on the second made to look like a clapboard dado.
By upcoming artist Tegen Williams, check out her blog YOUNG PAINT .

Wednesday

MAN VS. BEAR

Quite confused as to why anybody would ever think this was a good idea. Apparently a man called Gus Waldorf did in 1949. No prizes for guessing who won...

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS

I actively detest Christmas lists, but if I were to write one (more to the point if somebody were to read one I wrote) these Deena & Ozzy platforms would be right at the top...

platforms + suede + glitter = shoe heaven.

Saturday

UNION JACK GIRL POWER

For a six month period my favourite outfit to go partying in was a black t-shirt and union jack skirt. For me these photos summon up the probably scientific link between girls having fun and wearing union jacks. There is no doubt in my mind that ultimate girl power advocate Geri Halliwell would testify to this.

Monday

VIETNAM ZIPPOS

Apparently in Vietnam they call the war the American War.

'I will fear no evil for I am the evilest(sic) son of a bitch in the valley'.

Credit where credit is due - I stole the lighter images from a great blog called THEM THANGS, check it out.

WHITE CUBE

I have started a new internship, working at the White Cube gallery. A big perk is that I am getting back up to date (ish) with contemporary art. I can't help but see my old favourites in new works -
Mnch (Monk) - Katharina Fritsch - 1997-99 - 5827

PLAYING DRESS UP

This morning started very dramatically - screams, shouts, an intruder, a smashed lock, the feds (sorry) and some inky fingers. After a few coffees and various posited theories about why a man would break down a door run up to Susan's room and attempt to light a cigarette (more on the incident another time), the most natural thing seemed to be to go upstairs and try on some clothes...

It is a lot of fun living with an old friend when you both like clothes (double wardrobe etc). I particularly enjoy dressing Josie because she is a different shape, providing me with the opportunity to put together outfits I love but probably shouldn't wear.
Of the two outfits we both preferred the second, coming to the conclusion that the first was not particularly natural if that makes sense.

Second hand white silk shirt, Office platforms and Josie's Topshop jeans throughout.
First outfit - Mesh tshirt with beaded crosses, asos
Second - Josie's cropped lurex grip jumper Topshop
AMAZING GREEN COAT second hand, soon to be available from One Off , Josie's new styling venture.
