WEDNESDAY'S CHILD

Is full of woe. Last night I savaged my hand - perfectly in time for Halloween. OUCH.

LANDINGS

I grew up in a flat that was on one floor and as a result have always found landings very pleasing. The angles outside my bedroom door are particularly great.

Tuesday

PLUMAGE

This image/quote of Elton John I tore out of a supplement a while ago reminded me of my favourite advert which never fails to get me excited about the most fun weekend of the year. Elton's stage time is akin to the pigeon's macawnival (sorry).

When else is it acceptable to spend two solid days rum-punch drunk dancing in the streets?
Elton's sentiment is, I'm sure, how most revellers feel on the tuesday morning.

FOGGY TOWERS

The epic London fog obscuring Barbican's (wonderfully named) sixties monoliths Cromwell, Lauderdale and Shakespeare.

GILBERT APFEL

The new cover of Dazed & Confused featuring Iris Apfel reminds me of an old drawing I did of Gilbert Heron, father of Gil Scott-Heron.

RISPEK TO GAD

As someone who likes to think they can completely understand the accents of all the Jamaican relay team (I can't) this appeals to me a lot.

MANICURES

MILKY PUDDLES

It's definitely autumn. I can't work out what  causes the colour of these puddles, to me it looks as though somebody has poured ouzo in the gutter.
Milky eyes, watery clouds, street cleaning, petrol, bleached puddles.
