SHADES OF GREY

Although the weather outside makes me want to get under a duvet and hibernate till March, I still love grey, especially the dove shade of Katie Shillingford's wedding dress.

A close friend of Gareth Pugh and fashion editor of Dazed and Confused, it was a given that Shillingford would wear something amazing.

CHARLOTTE PRODGER :-*

This work by Charlotte Prodger features youtube videos made by and for trainer geeks. These videos record the fetishistic pleasure enthusiasts take in ruining pristine pairs.

I have always found trainer afficionados totally weird and Charlotte Prodger's piece only confirms my gut feeling. The work reminds me of being at school with talk about Nike Huaraches and those gross toe trainers. (The phase of New Era hats with tags kept on was also pretty amazing, the logic being that when the tag got scruffy it was time for a new hat.)

This last image is also Charlotte Prodger from a different work.
Look out for Prodger's 'I was Confused About the Dancefloor Code' about her friend's experience at Berlin super club Berghain.

For Londoners, she has an exhibition coming up at Studio Voltaire.

FOXY LADY

Fox. Juergen Teller for Vogue Italia November, 1997

Such a wonderful  editorial shot by Juergen Teller for Vogue Italia in 1997..

I have a story about a Russell & Bromley loafer-guzzling fox concerning my friend Josie but this fox is far too chubby and cute to tarnish by association.

CAMOUFLAGE OVERKILL

This is the season of my favourite print and I'm gonna have to get my kicks elsewhere.

PINK FLUFF

I know it's wrong but I like to think it falls into the so wrong it's right category *. I think the draw to a fluffy pink Tesco pencil case might be something to do with not having had Hello Kitty/Sanrio phase during my formative years.

Rosa disagrees.
