SHINY SHINY

I bought a reversible jacket yesterday. The sleeves are ridiculously shiny but I can't help but love them because they're stitched to the softest pale grey leather/suede.

I would like to wear it with this kind of make up face decoration:

recreating the look with stick on diamonte I bought in poundland. I think I'll have to wait for the right occassion, which is sad because I dressed up very badly for a space-themed Bestival a few years ago and this combination would have been great.

If I don't use the diamonte to give myself a terrible rash, I might try THIS OUT with black boot converse.

Watch this space for some super classy DIY.

COLOURED WATER

As crowd control.
Opposition supporters run as anti-riot police officers spray coloured water to disperse them in Kireka area on the outskirt of Uganda's capital, Kampala.
Purple haze: Police use coloured water from a water canon to disperse Kashmiri government emloyees in protest against the government in Srinagar, India

SNAP!

Same same but (not that) different - Art Wednesday plagiarising Palace plagiarising Coco and Gianni.

Saturday

MARK WALLINGER

Mark Wallinger's 'Construction Site', 2011.

This is a still from a Mark Wallinger film soon to be on show at the Baltic Centre in Gateshead. 'Construction Site' is an hour long recording of three scaffolders creating and dismantling this structure. The temporary structure reminds me of the grids artists have traditionally used to accurately scale images - the similarity is pleasing because Wallinger's largely conceptual work is the antithesis grid-painted works.

GLASS DETERRENT

I presume this glass on Percy Road W12 was stuck on as a rudimentary deterrent to climbers/trespassers/burglars - it also looks brilliant.

Tuesday

GREY AND YELLOW

Jubilee weekend is meant to be all about red white and blue but for some reason I was just seeing grey and yellow - deep I know. First the cars on Colville Road, then the Gucci necklace on mustard velvet, then my feet.

SUMMER SHADES

New shades! I wanted a new pair for summer which were subtler than my current collection but it turns out subtle wasn't to be.

RICHARD NICOLL EYELINER

I tried to recreate this square eyeliner from the Richard Nicoll SS12 show yesterday. It took a steady hand and lots of cotton buds, I think Ivania Carpo of Love Aesthetics blog had the right idea using black tape instead.

LA LUNE.

Perfect tshirt for werewolf lovers, astronauts, astrologers. Very sad its sold old, it's the closest adult version of the fantastic Couverture kiddy pjs.
